MoSi2 Heater Rod Introduction:
Mosi2 heating element is a kind of resistance heating element with
high temperature resistance, oxidation resistance and low aging
based on molybdenum disilicide.When used in high temperature
oxidation atmosphere, a layer of bright and compact quartz (SiO2)
glass film is formed on the surface, which can protect the inner
layer of si-mo rod from oxidation, so the element of si-mo rod has
unique high temperature oxidation resistance.
The general temperature of MoSi2 rod heating element is from 1300°C
to 1800°C, which is universally applied to the field of metallurgy,
glass, ceramics, magnetic materials, refractory materials,
crystals, electron devices and kiln etc. It is the ideal heating
element of high temperature annealing.
MoSi2 heater can quickly form a thin and adhesive anti-oxidizing
layer of quartz glass (SiO2), under the high temperature oxidizing
condition. , And can reform a new one when the protective layer was
damaged
Resistance characters of MoSi2 heater
MoSi2 elements have good resistance characteristic, so it is an
ideal heating material to replace traditional heating elements.
At room temperature, its resistivity is very low, with the increase
of temperature, the resistance increases sharply. The advantages of
heating up fast and low power consumption are obvious.
In normal operating circumstances, the resistance of the element is
constant, so the old and new components can be mixed.
